The big decision

Hi, my name is Leora and I live in Sweden together with my husband and three dogs. I have never been shy for adventures and that’s why I moved here almost 20 years ago. But after a successful career as photographer and AI artist I feel that it’s time to go home. To the land of my ancestors. Israel is where I see my future. I am longing to live in between fellow jews, I am longing to be in the country I have a deep connection with. That’s why I decided to make the BIG MOVE. My goal is to live in Israel in winter 2025.

I needed quite a while to gather all the necessary information for the Jewish Agency. It took me so long because I have two citizenships and that means a lot of bureaucracy. But now I finally submitted all my papers and hope to be called for an interview by my Aliyah agent soon.

When I started the whole process I had a million questions and found a wonderful community within the October 7th community where fellow jews met and discussed making Aliyah. It was a tremendous help to be with like minded people, being able to ask and to discuss my fears, hopes and dreams. Now that I have come a bit further within the process I would like to thank everyone who gave me their advice! Especially Shraga and Hannah at Shivat Zion helped me tremendously!
